NHRA Pro Mod Rookie Jeremy Ray Qualifies #8 in St. Louis
Rookie Jeremy Ray and the J4 Racing Team made their ninth stop on the NHRA E3 Spark Plugs 2018 Pro Mod Tour presented by J & A Service at the AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals in St. Louis.
In the first and third qualifying sessions, the "Carolina Kingpin" 1963 Corvette had tire shake in the left lane. In Q2, Jeremy ran a 5.75 @ 248 which put him in the #9 qualifying position. In the fourth and final qualifying round, Jeremy ran his career best run at 5.74 @ 249 to move him in the #8 spot to the top half of the field in NHRA's quickest Pro Mod field ever.
On Race Day Sunday, the team faced Erica Enders-Stevens in Round 1 but lost after the "Carolina Kingpin" would not go into reverse after the burnout.
The J4 Racing Team will travel to the AAA Texas NHRA Fall Nationals in Dallas, Texas on October 5-7, 2018.
