Ray Qualifies Fifth in NGK Spark Plugs NHRA 4-Wide

The NGK Spark Plugs NHRA Four-Wide Nationals was a first time experience for Jeremy Ray and the J4 Racing Team. Ray made a strong appearance qualifying in the top five out of thirty-one competitive cars.

In the first qualifying session on Friday, Jeremy ran a 5.80 @ 246. Later that afternoon, Jeremy ran a 5.77 @ 247 to securely lock him in the #5 spot. On Saturday, Jeremy had tire shake for Q3 and ran a 5.82 @ 247 for Q4.

On Raceday Sunday, weather and track conditions changed dramatically from the previous days. Jeremy made a quick jump off the starting line and was out ahead but had some tire shake late in the run.

The J4 Racing Team will travel to the PDRA North South Shootout at Maryland International Raceway this weekend May 3-5, 2018. Jeremy is the current PDRA Points Leader for the Moroso Pro Boost class after his win in the season opener race at Galot Motorsports Park.
